Lectures: 100 Years of Archaeology at Helsinki jubilee programme

We are happy to announce the Helsinki Archaeology Seminar programme for the first half of 2023. Please circulate among all interested parties.

Unless otherwise stated lectures will be held at 16.15 on the last Friday of the month, and take place in the Arla Pro Lecture Room, F-block ground floor, Topelia, Unioninkatu 38.

The first seminar, Friday 27.01 at 16.15, will also open the 100 Years of Archaeology at Helsinki jubilee programme with a lecture given by Timo Salminen (University of Helsinki) on International contacts of Finnish archaeologists before the Second World War.

After the lecture an exhibition celebrating a full century of archaeology at UH will be open at the premises of the discipline of archaeology, at the same location. Please join us there for drinks – warm welcome to all!
